06 6MT Accord vs. 04 R32 6MT

On our way to a big VW meet in South Jersey, my friend and I are in my car and our other friend with 1 passenger is in his R32. He has intake/exhaust/ecu/cams and street tune in the R32. His car sounds amazing btw..completely nuts. We go from a 3rd gear roll and are even through 3rd, once I hit 4th I start pulling slowly and by the top of 4th (I know ) I was about 1-1.5 cars ahead. I thought he was gonna walk me but it was a very good race. We raced a couple times with the same result. I just wish my car sounded like his! Haha

Hmmm...I'd think he'd take you, too.

But, good kill!

Very nice kill! When you listed those mods for the R32 I was sure he would take you The exhaust sound on those things is amazing!!

I am not suprised from the outcome. Its from a dig that he would beat you! Now if it were the 2.0T GTI is the more mod friendly vehicle and would respond much better. Good kill sonnick!

Thanks. We did another run on the way home, this time he had race gas and a race gas tune. This time a 60 roll, he pulled immediately and around the top'ish of 3rd was about 1 car ahead. When he shifted to 4th I was ATthe top of 3rd and it evened out (he was still 1 car ahead but the pulling stopped). Then a car pulled out in front of him. If we kept going I think I would've slightly pulled again, but the race gas/tune definitely had an effect!

He ran good on the road course there in Millville, NJ..it was a lot of fun! And yes, his car sounds awesome.

I played with an R32 last fall. Not sure on mods, other than exhaust. Second gear from ~40 and I pulled away pretty easily. After I shifted 3rd, he'd already let off I guess and then he turned off. I thought it would have been closer.

Try a run from a stop all the way thru the 1/4 mile. I'd beat he gets you by 2 to 3 cars. Roll races aren't the R32s playing ground.

Blah. Stop wasting your time. 26" slicks That will surely put you the 13.6@101mph range. If you want bragging rights, $500 on slicks and some light 16" rims is the key.

I bought Continental Extreme Contact DWS 225/50/17s just today. Should have them by tomorrow, hopefully installed too. I will get some pics. And the plan is to be going back to the track Wednesday night @Etown. I plan on being in the 13.8 range @101.5 after dark. But we will see.
