Are the 06 and 07 bumpers a direct swap?

Hey guys I'm curious if any of you know if the 06 and the 07 bumpers are a direct swap. I have an 06 tl and I don't want to mod my bumper vents just to have fogs i'd rather switch to the 07 bumper which already has slot for the fogs!

Yes it is. I might go this route as well, the 07-08 base doesnt look bad at all.

yeah, it does not look bad at all the slants on the grills makes a big difference in my opinion to the look of the bumper. but I'm also debating on just getting the tl-s lip kit and modding it into my 06 base bumper. what do you think would be better?

The bumpers are a direct swap, but new bumpers do not come painted.

It will cost at least $250 for the bumper, $300 for paint, $400 for OEM fogs/assemblies and around $200 for new grill pieces and wiring.

The front bumpers all swap with no modification, but the grill parts don't match up except for the hood trim.

damn i wanted to do this too, but that price quote you just gave me scares me. And that doesn't even include the a-spec lip! dammit!

I prefer the base lip (both older and newer model) because I want a clean OEM look. Type-S looks too aggressive, and doesnt match my style.

I was in the same boat - and decided to put a type S front bumper on my 06.
Looks great - and I love that I didnt have to hack up any grills.
Bumper was a direct swap, though I had to purchase - front bumper cover, main centre grill with accessories, hood trim, lower grilles, lower chrome strips, fog lights..and I think thats it.
I simply called up Kaleb at Hansel Acura and told him I wanted to do a full front end conversion.
Also got updated mirrors..all in came to just over $1,000 I think.

The Type S is no different from the 07-08 Base swap. Converting 04-06 to a 07-08 Base or Type S bumpers requires new upper/lower grilles, the V shape middle grille trim, and emblem.

All 3G bumpers will fit, as far mounting.

Pretty sure it came out to a bit over $1,000 for me..
But if I were to be in the same situation..I'd do it again.
