'05 TL with SH-AWD? Correct or a mislabeled car at a car lot?

Ive searched and searched and searched but cant find my answer...

I was just curious about the sh-awd and what years it was offered in. I saw one being sold that was an 05 and it is labeled as having sh-awd. How do you know it really has that? Short of getting under the car and looking at the pumpkin?

I have also looked on google and anywhere I can think of but it looks like this wasnt an option till later?

Thanks.

04-08 TL ALL FWD

SHAWD first offered on 4G TL

whoever was selling that car was greatly mistaken while the person purchasing has no idea what they bought.

Wikipedia is a horrible source that I tend to not use unless I can verify with another means. Thats why I asked here .

If it doesn't have a source, it's unreliable; if it does have a source, you can just as easily take it from the source. Wikipedia is the gateway to a lot of information but be careful if it isn't backed up.

But everyone already got this one. An 05 SH-AWD TL is fake. Much like the 2004 6-spd Type-S's assholes try to sell on Craigslist.

It's actually not: your other means are the citations in the Wikipedia article as mentioned by another member. There are literally engineering universities in Germany whose professors instruct you to use Wikipedia instead of buying textbooks.

So, so, SO much this. It's the only thing that is missing from the 3G that would cause me to define it as perfection. (perfection = subjective term, don't flame me. )

sounds like a valve adjustment(standard procedure after 105k miles), and replaced head gasket(not standard)

So, reading through this it seems to me that someone either has an 05 RL SH-AWD for sale and mislabeled it as a TL, or did a quick Google on his 05 TL for sale and noticed an RL SH-AWD...and ran with it. Can you check the carfax report again? Does it list it as a TL?

^why?

its just a mislabled for sale ad.
either trying to fool potential consumers or the seller is confused.

it doesnt matter much as the OP decided AGAINST buying the car.

It actually says the "Intake / Exhaust valves grounded or replaced"

That's not the same thing as valve lash adjustment that you are thinking of.

Blindeye_03 is the car in question a Manual or Automatic? Just curious.
