'05 TL road trip

I'm planning on taking my tl with 167000 miles on a 1100 mile road trip and back. Just changed oil and changed spark plugs and coils not To long ago. Anything to be worried about or should I be fine? Car runs great.

I just got back from a 2500 mile road trip in my 05 TL with 206k miles at the time of the trip. I spent 1400 bucks on maintenance items before the trip. The biggest costs were 2 new tires and a passenger side axle from Raxles. Car ran great the entire trip.

When's the last time you did fluid changes other than oil? How are your tires? Get the car up on a lift and get it checked out

Bought the car a year ago. Never changed tranny or coolant. I was always told that you should flush tranny in high mileage cars because you could mess up tranny by getting junk caught in lines

I could rent a car for 250 for the trip. Just wondering if that's the better route

Have your checked your tranny fluid? Do a 1x3 drain and fill to slowly intro new fluid. Have you changed the 3rd and 4th switches on he tranny? This is all preventative maintenance to prolong the tranny's life.

Ya, I could have rented a car too but I would rather invest the money on maintenance on my own car and enjoy the driving experience vs. driving some crap rental.
