Hi, i found a 05 TL w/ 35k miles on WITH extended warranty til 2009 or 50k miles for about $19k. I dnt know any other details about the coverage, but would this be a good deal? I was wondering is there any way I can use the vin # on this car to find out if this was build with the 'good' transmission. I heard early 05 models have the bad tranny while the ones after a specific date was good. Can i tell this with only the vin #? any help would be great, thanks!!

run a carfax at the least and have it inspected by an acura dealer. They should give you PAINT READINGS of the thickness of the paint to insure its factory paint. As well they will know what to look for like bent stuff, factory crayon markings missing, etc.

 

u can tell by the vin# but u will have to have access to the carfax report. it should list the build date by month and year.
