If your getting the rebuild kit from RockAuto then they have a few pages to help you through everything. That is all I used to rebuild mine and its more than enough. If you need to spec something then you will need the fsm.

Which kit that comes with? I just got car today for free with 170k, fully loaded navigation, body still fresh, engine idle really smooth ,interior is clean.battery was dead so I replaced it, start it up, reverse gear work but sometime grinds when put back into park. Put into D gear but no go. Drained the fluid(dark grey milky stuff on the drain plug) planning flush and change the filter first. I'm not even sure what's going on with this car, was been told that tranny was gone before I got the car.

I will be glad if u help me through this process. Been working on Audi and Benz lately I'm brand new to Honda 3.2l.
If your reverse grinds your going to need to buy parts 9 and 12. You need one of each. The meshing teeth are ground down on both of them so they sometimes dont mesh properly which results in the grinding.
