While I was browsing through pics of the new 2005 RL prototype at www.acura.com; I noticed the clear indicators in the side view mirrors existed in an exterior form (not embedded in the mirror itself) on the new RL. Is this what people are talking about as a possible change to the TL?

the TSX has the mirror blinkers. it was cool at first when it came out on the benz but it starts to look tacky.

I've never driven a car with those mirror blinkers, but I think they'd be really distracting.

I am easily distracted by flashing lights.

hahhaha yeah me to. when ever i follow my friends evo at night and when we turn the blinker practically lights up my whole car.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with looks. You think manufacturers are doing this for the heck of it?
Having turn signals viewable from as many angles as possible is a safety issue !

I personally don't think Acura would wanna put any blinkers on the 04 TL mirrors since it would kinda look busy with the front (amber) and rear (red) side marker lights or whatever you wanna call them. The car would look like a christmas tree with any additional lights on the side. The RL and TSX got away with having mirror blinkers as they don't have the side marker lights. Thats just my .02 worth.

I think Acura is going for a "family resemblance" and fully expect the mirror turn signals in the '05. Remember, they were in the first version of the '04 brochure but were pulled at the last minute.
