Are 05-06 6psd w/Nav hard to find?

I have been looking for a few month, and I have only been able to find (2) '06 manuals with Nav. Are they normally so rare? (I have been searching around the chicagoland area and the miami area)

per wikipedia: "...roughly 1 out of 40 TLs sold across America were equipped with a manual gearbox." I had a tough time finding one when I bought mine a year ago but I lucked out!

i would say hold out until you get one you are satisfied with, i had to choose between SSM with no navi and ABP with Navi and i really didnt like the ABP as much as i liked the SSM so i opted for the SSM with no navi and now im stuck regreting not ever getting the navigation and trying to get all the parts to convert it myself. Id say hold off until you find a 6spd with navi the way you want it. or grab a 6 speed and do a navi conversion if you have the cash for it.

I bought mine for no premium over AT. This place happened to have one (out of maybe 160) when I inquired and sold it to me for about the same money they were selling comparable mileage and condition AT's.
This is from a NJ off-lease liquidation outfit called Autolenders.

I got super lucky with mine, i found one with the aspec kit at a local acura dealer, wdp, 6spd, navi but had a 8000 accident on it. Anyway i was out of town and it sold the day before i got back. So i emailed the acura dealers in the area asking them to email me back if they got one in, i got an email the next day! And i put a deposit on it site unseen. So i still ended up with a WDP, 6mt, navi but with no accidents and only 58000 km or 36000 miles. It cost me about 5000 more than i wanted to spend but it is exactly the car i wanted. I think it was meant to be I also just ordered the aspec kit on the groub buy and i got the aspec suspension on a blowout from a local dealer for 375 bucks !

Hold out for what you want because thinking back i would not have been happy with an auto, and definately would have regretted it. I also would have never got a non navi because i hate how to 04-06 dash looks without it. Good Luck !

I would expect to get at least $1000-1500 off. Some of the prices I've seen is ridiculous.

Sorry for the off topic question, but just out of curiosity...

how much did you 6MT Navi owners pay for your car? Please specify year of car and date purchased. I have a 2004 and bought mine 10/2008 for $20,500 + tax CPO

Took me 4-5 months to find mine.

I was looking for 05+ AM or NBP, AM was my 1st choice.

In the end I found exctly what I was looking for.

Low mileage, AM, Black int, 6 spd, Navi, No accidents. Also got a decent deal on too. Toward the end I stated to consider different colors with at least a black interior.

Consider yourself lucky that you live in the Chicago area. Im always browsing craigslist and autotrader and I have actually seen a fair share of 6spd TL's popping up from time to time.
Infact you wanna talk about rare, a 07 Kinetic Blue Pearl 6spd Type S just popped up on craigslist in Naperville. Goodluck ever finding another one of those again :-)

I got mine brand new at the end of the 06 production year, actually 07 were already popping on the dealers’ lots; however, I decided against Type-S cause those were not discounted at all and were like $8-9k more the existing 06, so instead I opted for heavily discounted 06 with 6MT/Navi. Actually at the end my car price was between $29-30k before any taxes etc.

It is great to see that 3 years passed and I could still pocket $21-22k.

When I got my 05 in June05, SSM 6MT Navi was the last combo in the 5 neighboring states. They had to get mine from Chantilly which is the largest Acura dealer on the east coast.

Good luck but its worth the wait. At least I wont have a big issue selling mine in the future

Maybe since the new 2010 6-speeds are at the dealers, you might see some if people trade in for the new one?

I had a hard time finding one with Nav. I mean, I did find 2 but they were not up to my standards. Then , I picked up an 06 with 20k miles for $20.7k. This was last in 2008 October.
I was looking for the Nav. for the looks not the nav function. I still do think, a TL with NAV looks better but cleanliness (no scrstch, no accident, no ding , non smoker etc.) and low mileage was more important for me. I definetely do not regret my decision.

1:40 seems really unlikely. Why would Acura continue to tool a production line for such low numbers? 10-20% sounds more believable. Automatics are much much more common though, no doubt. The reason why you may think there are more 6-Speeds out there is that AZine is an enthusiast site. To us it seems common but just remember the TL virtually rules the entry-lux segment. There are tons of 3GTLs out there and most of those people are not enthusiasts and their cars are OEM stock and automatic.

Keep looking, a 6-speed is worth it. I wish mine was.

it was not. However, it was so clean inside an out with maintenance records that I did not have a doubt in my mind... I have a feeling that I would still be able to get the same price for the car as I only have 33k on the clock now.

I noticed that the 6-speed ones are very rare too. I am only going to get it as an Acura CPO and nothing else, which makes it even harder. If you don't need a new car soon you could wait, but I would like to get rid of my car soon so I concluded that I won't be able to get the perfect combination of paint color and interior color. I don't really care for the navi though.

Even new in 06, I settled for AM instead of NBP because I wanted a manual.
