just typing the title of this topic makes me laugh...

anyways, last night i picked up my car from the dealership after having my door locks fixed...i'm driving home down a 3-lane street and notice this beetle up ahead, switching lanes like he's in Gone in 60 Seconds er something...more like gone in 2 minutes for him, though...so i catch up and pass him and come to a red light...there's 3 lanes to go through the intersection where it soon becomes one lane...i'm in the left lane, the beetle in the middle lane, and some camry in the third lane...i know he's probably gonna try and take me (wtf?), but i just chill with my music bumpin'...i look over to see the driver and it's a guy...that's right, a fawkin' guy driving this beetle, which i think is a beetle turbo because it had the dual tips on the left side of the car...i could be wrong though...

so the light is getting ready to turn green and i turn my music off because i want to hear my car whoop this dumbass for even thinking he can beat me...i turn off the VSA and the light turns green...i pause for a split second to see what he's gonna do and as soon as i know he's pushed his pedal to the floor, i hit it...i'm right beside him going through the intersection and then whooooooosh...not even out of first gear and i'm gone...

now i'm definitely not surprised i won and didn't expect to lose, but it's just funny as hell this guy in a damn beetle wanted the rear of my car to be the last thing he sees...

this was the first race i've really been involved since buying my TL back in May...when i had my impala, i had some douche bag wanting to race at least once a week...now i've had my TL almost 6 months and this is the first person to step up...ah well, i'm sure more will follow...

I have an uncle who is a radiologist and makes quite a lot of money. He's a big car enthusiast and has stuff like a Ferrari F355. But he also has a turbo beetle.

I'm not defending the beetle in any way. They look pretty silly when a guy drives one. But maybe they can be fixed up or something. Benefit of the doubt.

Either way, nice kill.

the turbo ones have the vw 1.8t right? so they have potential of being fairly quick but why would u do that

oh yeah, they definitely have potential of being fairly quick.....against a toyota carolla... ...yeah, i think he was just on a high of what happens when you push the pedal all the way to the floor...
