HELP - I have a replacement left rear taillight for my 04 TL but I am baffled on how to install it. I am planning on buying a repair manual but would like to replace this taillight tonight or tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any helpful insite.

It's very easy. 3 screws in the fenderwell (2 horizontal and one vertical), one 10mm bolt behind the plastic cover just behind the closed trunk lid, and a couple of push-pins on the underside of the bumper (don't forget the one just above the exhaust).

There's no need to remove the bumper...simply loosen one side. Pull away the trunk liner (a few pins and an unscrewable knob), loosen the 4 nuts holding the studs, unclip the wiring harnesses, and you're there.

There are 4 screws holding the LED board in place. Unscrew those, pull it slightly away from the housing, unclip the 3-pin connector, and it will easily come off. Take off the old harness and clip it on the new housing. The rest is self explanatory.
