I'm not sure about how to change the filter, but just wanted to let you know that there is an aftermarket HEPA type filter that's available for the TL that filters much better than the filter Acura sells, and also is cheaper. The company sent me a packet of information regarding the micron size of their filter, and it's similar to the Filtrete home furnace filters you can buy. I've got one on order so I can't comment on how it's going to work, but the specs look great. From looking at the filter that was in my 2002 TLS, it doesn't look like it would filter much more than large dust particles and certainly isn't worth the money they're asking for the stock unit. When I get the filter, I'll post my results.
Here is the link for 3G TL:

There is no mileage given in the manual for changing the dust and pollen filter, but it says to change at 15,000 miles if you drive under severe conditions, so under "normal" conditions you should be able to go 20-25K miles before needing a change.

Thanks! I certainly would be interested. HEPA filters work wonders for allergies.
Changing the filters...
It requires removal of the whole glove box assembly, but you don't have to remove the door seperately.
Basically you gently pull the glove assembly from the bottom until it releases the spring clips from the dash. Disconnect two wires, one for the trunk release shutoff switch and the light. That allows you access to the tray that holds the filter elements. Pull the tray out, replace the elements and then re-assemble in reverse order being sure to reconnect the two wires and push the glove box assembly back into the dash.
The instructions say the four spring clips across the top edge of the glovebox assembly should be replaced too, but doesn't say why.

I can tell you that on a 2003 CR-V its a $150 job!
They told me that it was poorly designed and requires taking most of the dash apart, meaning that its an hour labor to take it apart and another hour to put it together again!
