I went to my dealer today in a bad mood after hearing the delay of the 6 SPeed manual, anyway I got to know that it's possible to have a rear camera assistance for parking, exactly like the one on thr MDX for $1200, it's not listed under accessories, but I placed an order already, and I guess that November is my month.
Also, the side view mirrors WILL NOT have any turn signal built into them, actually the TL won't have any turn signal behind or in the side mirrors.
The info in the TL brochure under safety is an error.
Too bad, we can't have everything.

I don't think many people would have gone for the camera anyway. I can see how it may come in handy for a MDX but come on, a TL? That's just overkill.

 

are you sure the back has a camera, maybe the option was just that the car has parking assistant, and maybe the salesmen assumed the assistant was like MDX...

Maybe the car only has 4 holes with sensors and noise to alert to you, like on the pictures..

 

I'm sorry, it seem like a lot have misunderstood me.
The back up sensor only has holes and beep or something like that.
What i posted up there is when you want to upgrade to a Camera, its not designed for the TL, but you can get the same ones on the MDx on.

I believe that only if you ask your dealer they might offer you that.
I'm getting almost 45% off the total of my accessories.
I don;'t think that you dealer rep would come and tell you this, because it's extra work, you might be interested in asking.

This upgrade sounds like it will be done at the dealer after the car is shipped from the manufacturer. In other words, you could actually consider this "after-market", the only difference is it will be done by the dealer (i.e. a certified garage).

I remember when I was considering the Nissan Murano when it first came out. In Canada, that car only comes in 2 models: SL and SE. Since the SL didn't have leather interior, some dealers still offered it but the leather would be installed by the dealer's crew.

It should still be OK, doesn't matter who installs the camera. The only thing you should watch for is whether or not this additional installation will affect your warranty with Honda/Acura.

Te installation of the camera won't affect my warranty, because its going to be installed along with the rear entertainment system and the other Acura gadgets.
Its from the dealer its self, and I don't believe that the camera is made for the TL because of the size of the vehicle which leaves as in no need for a Camera, and also we already have a back up sensor, whcih I believe won't as much as the Camera does.
It's overpriced, because why would you need a camera for a vehilce in the size of the TL???
But, if you got the money, you can PAY
