This one has me stumped! My 04 with 115K had the A12 Maintenance pending warning light start coming up at 15%. No problem, BTDT several times before both on this car and the previous Gen2. Easy to do. Cycle till Oil % comes up, Hold the button till the erase option comes up and push ok. BUT, for some reason, I cycle the menu till oil comes up, hold the button, but at the 15-20 second mark, when it should bring up the erase option, it just brings the service soon A12 message in orange again!! I've probably done it 30 times... same result. And now it's into the past due. Not that it matters, already did the service but EVERY TIME I start the car I have to turn that stupid thing off.
Anyone else had this problem? I've searched everywhere else and can find no one else mentioning this happening...

hah! that happened to me! couldnt get A1 to go away! but figured it out, by holding the menu select button for another 10 - 20 secs.
