I sold my two cars to carmax... u need to have your car title if you want to sell your car to them, they pay check..

You should sell your car privately you can still get a decent amount for it. You dont want to be upside down on your loan especially the way financial world is and consumer lending.

Glad they gave you more than 11K. That was a joke. I recently traded in my 03 TL-S with 85K and was offered 9K. I took that offer and ran. Carmax had offered 6500, told them to take a hike. Trading a 2nd gen TL to an Acura dealer is even harder since they know about the transmission problems. The salesman even told me. There is a negative stigma about them that is common knowledge.

My point being that an 04 with that many miles should go for much more.
