im bone stock and he had a very nice sounding exhaust system. it sounded like a beast. we started from a 40mph roll. i was using ss mode and got a quick 1 car jump on him and i stayed that way up until about 100 when he began creeping away. at 125 he was about 1.5 cars ahead. to other driver

quiet highway with no cars at 4am. did ss mode provide any benefit in this situation or should i have just left it in auto?

Nevermind I was thinking about another car. You should have beat this 9/10 but the driver must have had some nice exhaust work and freed up 20 hp on this exhaust

Those mark VIII share the same engine as the Mustang Cobra(slightly detuned). I think they make about 280HP instead of the 305HP in the cobra. Boy do they have great top end. Oh also the older mark VIII like the one you raced were faster than the late 90's marks. I dont know if it has to do with OBD1 and 2 or some other reason. Good run against the big V8 Lincoln!

i had a 95 mark 8 before now i have a 05 tl i wouldnt even imaging racing the 2. you shoulda left him easily.
