04 to 07 Headlight Housing
I recently found a set of 07 headlights on ebay for $810. Im wanting to pull the trigger on this but i am concerned about some electrical stuff. Ill be the first to admit i know nothing about wiring/electrical.
Will my projection bulbs fit in the 07 housing, and since i plan on using the 04 projector and im not interested in a DRL, would i be able to "plug and play" my old bulbs into the 07 housing and have them work?
So basically...will i be able to use a 07 houseing without any change to wiring?
Thanks in advance

They are the same price as the 04-06 headlight housings...
All the modding ive done may have cought up to me...im having issues with sealant, and no matter what i do moisture still works itself inside

it's me, Alan Rickman.
You may run into wiring issues with the fog connectors on your current car and the DRLs in the 07 setup; also I thought I read somewhere on here that there are differences that will require additional modification for mounting; that may not be valid it just seems like i've come across it somewhere..

Yea like i said before im not worried about the DRL's, just wanting to know if the "drl" bulbs are the same as the 04-06 fog bulbs?
As in, i turn on my headlights....then turn on my fog lights to work the DRL bulbs as the fogs for the 04-06 models.

oh man still getting moisture issues? damn. I had moisture in my headlight a couple days after I got done with them and I was sooo pissed. I let it sit in the sun one day and I was thinking about resealing it but never got to that. But anyways. I let it siit in the sun, and it magically never came back again? Maybe its just moisture thats stuck in there and needs to be dried out. But then Ii remmeber you saying you did. Dont know man, 810 is alot of money, I mean I think if you could fix the headlights go for that, but the Type S headlights would look pretty badass

yea, you will most likely NOT run into any serious wiriing issues...... PM actros. he has an 05 wit 07 TL-S lamps. i dont think he had to do any serious modding to get it to work..
the ballasts may not line up the same, and might require some bending on the lost metal tabs that are under the headlight, that mount the ballast to the frame.

1) Why do you hate your muredered out headlights? I think they look great.
2) DRL's are NOT fogs. They run at 5V vs 12V. They're not as bright, and the reflectors are oriented in a way that will BLIND oncoming traffic if you stick a HID kit in it.
3) The ballasts are changed in 2006 AND 2007. You'd have to lash your 2004 ballasts to the headlight ghetto style. You're looking at another $400 or so for proper fitting ones.
My personal opinion is the 04-06 headlight is superior once you clear it out. Full 55W fogs that are oriented high enough to be effective.
