03 TL-S vs 05 Altima SER (6MT)

Well one of my boys traded his modded WRX wagon and bought a 05 SER 6MT. We were chillin last night and decided to do a couple of runs. I'll be the first to say holy shit that car is quick. we did 2 runs at 25mph.

first run i pulled a good car on him, second run i pulled 3/4 of a car and stayed there.

Here are the 2 videos its kinda hard to tell cause of the poor quality of my phone and on top of that it was being recorded from another car. Well atleast i kno that the RSX that killed me (Video here) a few weeks back cant even keep up anymore as u can tell by the vid.

I'm lovin these headers so far and my spacers are goin in today

boostedjack is correct a stock or even a mildly modded TL-S will fall to the SER. If i didnt have my headers id be toast. i got all the mods listed in my sig except for spacers which are goin in, in about 10 mins

Definitely a nice run. I raced on about a month ago before my mods from 70 to 130. We were dead even until 110, then I started pulling on him. I was surprised that I could do that! I would kill one now though.

Nice kill. The Alti SE-R is definitely no joke. Your headers secured the victory here. (I have read threads on the Infiniti forums and the SE-Rs have given a few 1G G35 drivers fits. )

I am VERY eager to see the upcoming SE-R based on the 4G Altima (which already has SAE net 270hp.....more than the current SE-R's non-SAE net 260hp).

Headers on a 2G CL/TL make a world of difference. Out of all my mods on my previous CL-S headers was what gave my car the most power.
Nice runs btw

Wonder if they'll make a 4G SE-R as a coupe... or at least without those clear taillights.

on non-Type-S's, tho, headers don't do that much unless you stick in an exhaust and whatnot, too

nice kill

Thats not true. Headers do alot for the TL-P. Exhausts do almost nothing

My neighbour has a TL-P with I/H and used to keep up with me when my CL-S was stock. So headers work just as good on the P.

I thought the same, maybe he isn't very good at shifting? By the way let's not forget the SE-R started in 2nd gear and the TL-S started in 1st gear.

great run man, i never expected an Auto TL-S could take on a 6MT SE-R. I guess your mods really made some big difference.
