My guess is that they'd be just about equal in acceleration. However, in turns and breaking, the 04 TL A-Spec would whip the behind of the 03 TL-S.

2004 TL A-spec
more horse and torque, why not?

Only thing against the A-spec is bigger wheels but they also have fatter rubber and the car is probably more aerodynamic (atleast the underbody from what I saw in the pictures).

A-Spec isn't going to make the car faster down the straightaways, but on the turns it will tear up the base model. With less than 5% increase of the 2003 in power the cars are probably very close...the new Tl feels quicker though. Especially from the line, the traction was good from the start. I did a couple of laps on the course and pushed it really hard around the turns. they wouldn't let anyone take the

Not to mention that the A-spec looks like it moving when it's parked!

But its slightly heavier which is the main reason for more power just like the 04 Maxima.

The '04 is a much nicer vehicle, but I prefer the shift pattern and sound of my TL-S. The 2004 is a whole lot quieter. I like to hear my engine rev. When I drove the 2004 here at our test track, it was pouring down rain. The 04 definitley out-handled my car in the cornering. With the VSA I could not get the back end to come around at all, even on the wet parking lot. The only reason for the extra horsepower is the cold air intake and an exhaust change.
