'03 CLS6 vs TL / Civic Si Sedan
Had 2 separate quick runs on the way home tonight vs 2 pretty evenly matched cars.
First run was with a blue 8G Civic Si Sedan with mild bolt-ons.
After finding a sizable gap, we started from a 75 roll and went to the middle of 4th and I managed to pull 2 car lengths before letting off.
Second run was with a bone stock 3G AM TL and I'm almost certain it was a 6 speed. We started in 3rd gear and went all the way to the end of 4th and I managed to pull a car length before shutting down. I didn't see whether if it had the Black brembo calipers, but I did notice we were shifting around the same time and he didn't fall back once we hit 4th.
Only mods I have are high flow drop-in K&N filter, Comptech b-pipe with a very clean and empty car on a recent oil change - car felt strong tonight.

I dont even waste my gas on any Civic unless I can tell its something special, or I get called out. Smoked a few SI's of various vintage, and realized I'll get them unless they've got money under the hood.
TL's, I'll race those. Depending on the level of mods/skill of the driver, they can make for interesting runs.

When did you get the G37? 7AT or 6MT?

Come on out to California and we'll arrange some runs

Unfortunately, Tonight will not work but some time this week or this weekend would work best.
Let me know through PM.
Thanks,

I, too, ran into an AM 3G base TL when I was near SD couple months ago. It was a 6speed with mild bolt ons(confirmed by looking at calipers). We did like 10 runs lol, then he exited. Ran into him on the 5 north. Maybe this was the same TL you ran into? he had some kind of exhaust mod IIRC
It was interesting during the middle of our runs, 2 highly modded S4's flew by us when we were at about 115-120. They must have been doing 140 ish

I'm not one to instigate races by revving or signaling runs - I usually mind my own business and only run when traffic is very light.
Just this morning, I was sitting at a light on a completely empty 4 lane road heading to work and a nearly bone stock '02 WRX with exhaust pulls up next to me. We ran from a dead stop all the way through 3rd and pulled 3 car lengths granny shifting

I don't know what it is about my car, but I've been getting a consistent 2 - 3 runs a week without a sweat.
