03 Accord V6 2dr vs Dodge Charger R/T

What a great race this was! The lady was probably in her mid-late 50's with her dog in the back seat. She was driving a Charger R/T Hemi with no mods. I pulled along side of her at the infamous red light where it merges from 2 lanes into 1 about a 1/4 mile down the road. I really didn't know what to expect from this older lady but I have been surprised before so I made sure I was ready to extend the accord if need be. Light goes green and we matched acceleration so I decided to extend it to the floor. She must have been reading my mind because she did the same! The race was pretty much from a 5 or 10MPH roll since neither of us floored it from the dig. Well to my surprise I pulled her through 1st gear. She was at my rear 1/4 panel. What even surprised me more is that I pulled 1 full car length or so through 2nd gear! I hit 3rd and thought the pull would have stopped, expecting her to start catching me but no, I was slowly pulling her through 3rd and at about 85mph or so we both let off with her 1.5-2+ car lengths back!! I put my hand out to give thumbs up and she returned the thumbs up with enthusiasm!! She was stoked. You could tell that race made her day. I could see her big ass smile with her kind of rocking back and forth. When I turned down my street she drove past and gave me the piece sign then a little wave. What a cool lady!!

It's all fun and games until you have a psychotic cougar who knows where you live.

Sorry man, I was so mesmerized by the possibility of rampid Cougars I totally missed the thread!

Very nice run. I'm surprised you pulled lengths, especially when getting into 3rd because I know the 5ATs fall out of VTEC.

sorry to hijack but i'll be racing a 3.7 stang and an 89 Monte Carlo SS with a 350 small block producing about 290hp at the crank.
should be a good race between all three cars

Good race! Be careful not to give the old lady a heart attack from all the excitment lol

I just saw a 70-80 year old grandma with a cane get out of a bright red auto corvette!! She was attending Sunday service right next to my hospital lol I was shocked. The security guards outside were just starring and couldn't say a word haha

Thanks guys! Yeah......this was one cougar that I wouldn't want following me home haha. She was NOT attractive whatsoever!

Sonnick - The second to third gear upshift at full throttle with no manual shift falls to 4700rpm. If you manual shift it falls right into VTEC. I will say thought that the Jpipe really improved the low-midrange torque so much that it really doesn't make any difference with manual shifting vs leaving it in auto anymore!

A few years ago I watched an old lady, maybe 75-80, in a loud-ass STI do a 6k clutch dump into the parking lot of a pizza place. Funniest thing I ever saw. Traffic was heavy and she wasn't waitin' any longer!
