Yo Whats Up, Let me give all of u a lil introduction about myself!
So im from 6GA and finally decieded to get myself a TL, I just got back from the dealer checking out prices and Such!
Found a nice White TL 05 btw 6spd GPS Black Leather interior with 50k miles for 18k after financing and a 07 Tl type s With 20k miles 5spd fully loaded for 31k after financing just wanted some inputs about what i should look for and whats the best price i could get!

I have 1.5k Aside from my downpayment for some Suspension or Rims! any input would be helpful and Sorry if i posted on wrong thread!

So you are looking for advice to buy a TL?

If I were you, I would get the 05 TL, not the 07 Type-S. Some would argue that the Type-S is worth the extra money, but the base gets the job done just fine. Instead of financing another $13k for the Type-S, take half of that and buy aftermarket parts for your car.

White on black is a hot ass color combo for the TL as well. I think you will have more fun with the 6-speed too. The 5AT is cool and all, but sometimes I wish I would have gotten a manual.

 

Welcome to AZ, I'd go with the 05 6mt also. Sounds like you said it comes with Navi. Sounds like it's the better deal.

 

get the 05 HANDS DOWN! use the 13+ K to mod it and make it custom! As well it'd lower your payments quite a bit and help you out to buy other things! Welcome to Azine, and hopefully we'll see you in a few days with a TL!

Welcome to the forums! I would get the type S if I had a ton of money to blow since I don't finance my cars. But I didn't so I got an 04 and blew enough money on mods that I could be in a type S now lol

I would say none of the above.. I would pick the 6sp Base TL over the type-S for value.. but the M/T has inherent issues.. 3rd gear, clutch / synchros, which is probably the reason why they don't / haven't produced a M/T for the latest gen TL. The prices they quoted you are a bit inflated. 07 Type-S shouldn't be more than $27k OTD and the base 05 TL shouldn't be more than $14k IMO. Many members here have scored outstanding deals on TL's.. I think a fellow member scored an 07 Type-S for $23k..

 

get the 05 ... u will regret it if u dont get the 6mt

 

Get the 05 6MT. Also FYI they dont make an 05 WDP with Ebony interior, cuz if they did I would have that instead of SSM.
