~$4K Later, Thinking... Shoulda Bought a Type-S
Yes, I remember I was in the dealership, looking at a brand new 2007 TL. As I walked to the car I was interested in, I walked by this Type-S.
"Hmm intertior too sporty... too much like a sports car... I want luxury."
and
"It's a manual, can't drive manual"
So I by passed it. Bought my 07 TL.
Now, I am lowering the car, getting 18" wheels, soon to get quad exhaust and installing cold air intake, J-pipe.
Now thinking... damn, with the amount of money I spent, I could have gotten that Type-S and it would have given me more power.

You probably would have done the same mods to the Type-S

Sure the Type S has a 3.5L but I don't think the power difference is that drastic. I test drove both when I bought mine. The Type S just has better styling to it.

ggesq is correct. I fell into my Type S, and I've still done a ton of mods.
