well i bought my first acura (2004 tl 5at) no navigation...i went to the dealer and they had the exact color makeup i wanted ..but no nav..(they said up to 3 weeks).me impatient as always decided to just jump on that ...now its 1 week later ..i absolutely love this car...in everyway..i just wished i would have waited for the navigation model..now i called the dealer this morning mcdavid acura(austin) and they tell me they can put one in for me its gonna be pricey and it wouldnt effect my warranty..does this guy no what hes talking about or is he new ? because i was under the impression they could not put nav in ???? any help is appreciated

I'd be interested to know if a Navi could be put in after the fact. I kinda doubt it, but who knows. If its possible, I would definitely consider doing that at some point down the road.

You can install an aftermarket Navi. Another alternative is to use a navigation system like Garmin SP2610 or Magellan Roadmate 500/700. They don't have voice control, but are fairly rich in terms of features. One advantage of using something like the Garmin or Magellan is that it is portable.
The DVD-nav system for the TL comes from Alpine. Some Alpine DVD-Nav systems are available as an aftermarket install. If you search google groups, you will see threads related to it.
