$100/mo for NavTraffic

Now that the title grabbed your attention...

I've been looking at the differences between a 06 TL and a 07 Type-S (have to have a manual trans), and I think that's the big issue for me. I like blue lights better than red in the interior (and I can't tell what people say when they mean 'upgraded interior'). Fogs are add-able, as are the taillights and wheels. So that basically leaves the traffic. And I know there is at least one person who has upgraded, but I'm not sure I want to tackle a project like that.

How useful is it to you? We have a very good traffic team here in town that I listen to going to and leaving work, so it's not like I'd be subtracting anything. Right now I can get some decent 05/06 TLs for $20k and below, and the cheapest TL-S in the country right now is $25k. That's right around $100/mo difference with the rates I'll be getting.

I can afford it...but is it worth it? I'd much rather have a $300/mo car payment than a $400/mo one.

You also must have a subscription to XM radio to get nav traffice, don't you? I don't use it myself. I take the traffice as it comes. I have used the detour feather in the Navi to get out of tight spots.

Unfortunately it is not useful at all as it does not reroute you.

I did like how it gave me info of why the traffic was forming, but that's it. I've cancelled XM and Navtraffic as both suck.

In 4G I believe it does have rerouting capability.

Blue vs Red.. please not another thread.

OK, well that's good to know. Not so much of a reason to spend the extra dough then. The increase in power will be missed, but there are ways around that.

Thanks.

I guess the other question would be about the TPMS, and it's worth. I see a 2005 with 57k for $15k, and wonder how good of a deal that is.

If you check your tires frequently, you don't need TPMS.
