Rear end growl at low speeds.
With the 1920 miles on my RLX I can't say that I have heard the growl that you mentioned, but since you mentioned it I have heard a noise but don't know from where it comes from. To tell the truth, I am almost deaf in my right ear and partially in my left so there are times I think I hear a noise but I cant say when or where it is coming from. Could be a break-in thing..
I don't recall hearing it for a while now, maybe it's just the exhilaration of driving her???

1. turn AC and radio off so it's completely silent
2. put transmission into drive and slowly let the car creep forward no more than 1-2mph.
While moving forward you will hear what sounds like a "croaking" or "low growl" that sounds like it's coming from the rear section of the car. At first it sounds like it's the body making noises, but it definitely sounds more like the wheels or suspension making it.
I too thought maybe something was wrong, but then figured it was A-PWS making slight adjustments.
Just because more than one of us hears it doesn't mean it's not an issue. I have to take mine in soon for it's first oil-change, so I'm going to mention it anyways.

I have the growl also; appears when I let up on the accellerator and goes away as I give it some gas. Also, I had a Check Charging Sytem light come on the MID when I was trying the HFL with my phone. Light stayed on, pulled into delaership and left car running so service advisor would see the light. Pulled back into the bay area, and turned car off. When tech turned car on warnign was gone. Battery, starter and alternator all checked out AOK.
^^ Is that pill BLUE by any chance Colin? *lmao*
It is unfortunate to see these kind of problems creeping up in the new Acuras....I thought they were better at preventing these issues from leaving the factory but the ILX and RDX with the rear shock noise, the MDX with its interface glitches and now the RLX....Doesn't bode well for the TLX

So as long as it's not an indication of a real mechanical problem that will turn into something bad, I could care less.
I didn't want to sound too pessimistic in my post and that is the problem with the forum at times, its hard to capture the emotions. It just seems that I am becoming more aware of the issues with Acura products where as before, I thought of them as totally bug free. My sunroof ticking in my TL, the clunking noise in my RDX and the other issues with the ILX and the RLX just made me feel a bit worried but I agree that these are not show stopper and serious problems....just annoyances. My apologies to all of you for pressing the "panic button" too soon ...
^^ Weather,
Being that the RLX is new in production and there are few owners, now is the time to identify and correct any anomalies before the problems become overwhelming for Acura. It is easier to make changes in the production and manufacturing process earlier rather than later. Case in point....Toyota & Jeep.

If you read the thread, I believe the noise you hear is the normal function of the PAWS system. You won't hear that noise on other cars because they don't have an electronic rear wheel steering system. Complaining about it is akin to complaining that your brake pedal vibrates a bit when you stop on icy roads.
funny enough, the growl no longer happens on my car. it's been like that now for weeks and hasn't popped up since. my guess is it's probably something specific to the PAWS system just taking time to settle in being new from the factory. I'm at around 8500+miles on mine.
As for dturboman and all his issues: you must have gotten a lemon dude. I like others on this forum haven't had any issues at all short of the things that I consider to be "improvements" for a future model. otherwise, the car is flawless and has been amazing since the day I drove it off the lot after being shipped straight in from Japan, with only 9 miles on the odometer.
