Acura Problem Notification
To all Acura Owners:
After identifying a problem with the HomeLink system for lack of range and their initial response, Acura is going to investigate the problem and provide a resolution.
I believe this has bounced to the top by sending Acura a strongly worded E-Mail Identifying the problem and the interim troubleshooting, which showed a shortcoming on their side.
Please, If you have a problem, regardless of the Acura model and you get blown off by the local dealer, Don't hesitate to notify Acura Client Relations at the following:
ACR@ahm.acura.com
I was very surprised as to the immediate response.
They seem to isolate themselves the outside world problems as we tend to band together by use of this Forum, identifying problems and other subjects, for which they do not monitor.
After voice communication with the rep I mentioned the large quantity of problems posted on this and other Forums in the AcuraZine community. This would allow them to monitor what problems the outside world is having with their product/s. This would also allow them to bounce against their reports from their field representatives.
This is pretty normal for a manufacturing company primarily occupied with in-house schedules, Budgets and problems.
It is important for Acura owners to realize there is another
avenue for problem resolution.

EE4LIFE,
Thanks for the heads up but I was notified just after the TSB was released and had the problem resolved. It was just as I thought and Acura disassembled the HL and moved the antenna to the back of the housing. Only took a year and a half but I now can open the Garage Door from a half a block away....
