And do you know anybody old enough to speak in the old US upper class "Atlantic" accent that mirrored Received Standard/Oxford Accent?

It's still typical in Eastern Virginia to drop R and G sounds.

Thanks for the accent tour, George. Fun. I'd suggest that you send this off to the Acura engineers, but they may have more serious problems to contend with. Actually, driving my new Sport Hybrid suggests that the engineers are doing just fine - it's the marketing and management folks that have more serious things to contend with.
