Thinking about pulling the trigger on a 2014 Sport Hybrid
w/Tech package w/21k on it. It's certified, great condition, AWD, sport Hybrid and the dealer is asking a little over 30k for it. Was put in service in 2015 so it's got a bit of warranty left. Anything I should be on the lookout for? Was originally tossing between this and a CPO A6 to replace a TDI being bought back from VW. Wife has an MDX that she loves, I'm thinking this might be smart buy especially if I can negotiate it down to 28k or so...thoughts?

I personally think 30K is a great deal for the SH. With the CPO warranty, you'll be covered in a long time.

Three Wheelin'
Anything south of 30K for a Sport Hybrid would be a great deal on a great car.
The only knock on the 2014 Sport Hybrid seems to be the infotainment system being a bit sluggish relative to the 2016 version. Be sure to try it out during your test drive(s) and make your own judgment based on your experience.
If you get a chance at a red light during a test drive, try putting the car in sport mode, select 1st gear with the paddles, apply brake hold and when the light turns green, extend your right foot and gear up as necessary with the paddles. Be aware that exceeding the speed limit will occur rapidly. Also be aware that the sequence described has resulted in many a sport hybrid being purchased on the spot.
Good Luck.

Despite the horrible depreciation it has experienced, I think that the enthusiast worlds understand now that this is a unique vehicle, whatever its flaws that cause the depreciation.
Speaking of depreciation....
I financed 100% of my 2014 SH-AWD, because the interest rate was lower than the rate of inflation...basically zero.
This is the first time that I can ever recall owing more money on a car than it is worth, by something like three grand, I think.

.....and this is the reason I leased. I figured it was going to happen, just like to the RL before it. It's too bad. It's a fabulous car, just like the RL before it.
