RLX 14 Nav Update Brown DV confusing instructions

1-Instructions indicate to insert Disk 1 into System disc slot, DO NOT USE DVD player slot. Where is System disk slot?
2-I may be asked to enter 5 digit Security Code. Where is that one? cannot find anywhere in order.
I wrote to acuranavi and got no answer!

There is a code on the packing label/invoice that was in the box. You will need that.

You should not need the infotainment system's unique code provided the infotainment system is in normal operating mode and has not been reset because of a break in electrical supply. If you do need your system's unique code, most dealer's will put an adhesive label in the glove box, although with a 2014 car it's possible it might've worn off.

The infotainment system's unique code is also available at AcuraLink in your vehicle's settings.

The confusing instructing about the DVD slot just means not to use the slot for anything other than the updating disks until the updating is completed.

I have noticed a couple of minor changes to the operating software. For example, now when you press in on the big knob you get a screen asking you whether you're intending to change the audio source.

It used to just take you to the menu for your currently selected audio source.

!
In newer Acuras, you don't need the code anymore.

You insert the 1st DVD, it installs the updated firmware and the system reboots. It will then ask you for the 5 digit security code. That is the code to get the audio system out of the antitheft mode.

You just need to hold the power button pressed for 2 seconds, and your system will authenticate over the cars embedded cell network.

The next step is to insert the 2nd DVD, and it will start copying the maps.

Thank you for our help.
I installed today and for whatever reason pressing the power button as per above did not work and had to enter the audio security code ( found on line where to find it, in the glove compartment there is a sticker with the system model # and security code).

Thank you for letting us know. I'm glad you got it done! Sometimes you need to try it 2-3 times for it to work.....

Any other difference besides new maps? acura lacks in colors with the navi. Too bad they're finally catching up with the apple car play and android auto.
