New owner of 2014 RLX P-AWS
Hi Everyone,
We picked up our new to us 2014 RLX yesterday. It’s gray with the ebony interior. Has 127k miles but had good service records and all recalls done. Unfortunately the dealer had no records of the rear toe motors ever getting done but they seem to be working good at the moment. If we can get a year out of the car before having to replace them we are on top. I do have to do the trans fluid drain and fill and timing belt as it has not been done before. I will be ordering the aisin kit from rock auto. I do have a couple questions for all the gurus here:
-what things would everyone recommend doing as preventative measure (TB and trans fluid are definitely getting done)
-been searching the site but is there a pdf of the service manual floating around?
-I do have the tpms light on and the car doesn’t show the psi on any of the tires. Is there a troubleshooting guide anywhere.
thanks in advance! We are so excited about this car, always been a Honda family and Im some what mechanically savvy so we keep them around a long time!

thanks! We are super excited about this car. We’ve been driving this car the last few days and it is an awesome ride. Compiling a list of things to purchase to get some maintenance done on it. Haven’t really found any how to’s on this particular model so if I have time I might write them up as I’m doing the maintenance.

thanks everyone for the welcome and sorry for the late reply. We currently have an 06 odyssey that has 250k miles and hopefully we can get a lot more out of her. Also have an 06 s2000, had an 09 Si (sold), had an 04 accord (sold), still have my 95 civic hatch that I got in high school, had an older integra and a 98 civic that were also sold. So as you can see we really do like our Honda/Acuras…
I’ve been going over the car and found out it needed the right front lower ball joint. This is an aluminum arm and the ball joint cannot be pressed out so I had to get the whole arm. Also found out it needs both rear upper ball joints and guess what? All aluminum so I have to get the whole arm. Fortunately I found a local guy that is parting out an rlx with 22k miles so I’ll be getting some parts from him. I purchased 18x9.5 konig ampliforms from a local guy and put those on over the weekend. I’m still trying to troubleshoot my tpms problem but by the looks of it it looks like I just need new sensors. When I took the tires off of the oem rims 2 of the sensors are still oem and the other two are aftermarket. I’ll be getting 4 new oem sensors and see if that helps. It’s not money wasted since I need them anyways since I’m throwing winter tires on the oe rims.
