I gave up and just went on with life.
I note with interest, though, that the wheels are now an expensive option in the KC1 and KC2 lines.

George, having been in NSX-Land (ie NSX Prime and their associated Facebook feeds) for a year, I have found that there are many folks with connections in Japan, who regularly broker JDM parts shipments to the USA. An alternative is to find what you need on Yahoo Japan and to have someone who lives there and has access. I used a broker to get those JDM lighted Legend sills I haven't had time to install.

That is ridiculous. Further, it's in Hong Kong, so shipping something of an unwieldy size like that will cost hundreds. Wowsers.

They're starting to show up here and there, although at quite a price.

I got them from jdmyamato.com, which also has an ebay listing. He lists the colors by name and Honda part #, but in my case- my bellanova white pearl is the same as his listed orchid white pearl, and it matches perfectly. It cost a lil over $700 with shipping, took about 2 weeks. No instructions, just templates where to drill holes. Took about an hour, hardest part was popping the clips off underneath the bumper, the rest was a breeze, as I am quite familiar with installing lip kits on Hondas

Yeah I fought with buying it or not because of the price, but it's not the 1st time I have paid for styling modifications that were pricey LOL and yes I will post pics after I have my coilovers installed wednesday

Haha yeah I hear alot about the NY streets in my 8th Gen Honda forum that I'm still part of. My coilover dampening settings are on soft so it is comparable to stock but the low profile tires let me feel every imperfection in the asphalt LOL- it's a trade off that I'm used to, but the next set of tires I get will be a lil "beefier" but still low profile. It's still surprisingly smooth until I hit rough patches that I can't avoid.

Thanks for being the pioneer both with the Modulo lip and the coilovers. Were I not leasing, I'd think about doing a coilover set to improve the suspension.

Wow. I'm not sure what to think of that. It seems kind of low for such a heavy car, and coming from my driving experience, I would be tempted to reverse the spring rates.

I'm leaving mine alone. The suspension is soft enough to allow for comfortable distance driving, and the car's OEM tuning allows the driver to point the nose effectively and enjoy handling better than most big cars.
I dunno. I sympathize...but I think I'm leaving mine alone.
And after seeing the Modulo lip on a living car instead of the catalogue view from the most attractive angle, I'm even less inclined to spend close to 700.00 to get one.
It's a matter of taste, of course. But as time goes on, I'm more inclined to leave it alone.

This way, when you go off throttle to brakes quickly, the nose comes down harder onto the tyres, creating bigger contact patches, so that when you turn the wheel, you're turning RIGHT NOW.
It's cheaper than the JDM way. The JDM N1 way of designing a suspension has the heavier springs on the nose, in order to slow down quick transitions.
But if they have to do that, then they will end up with huge sway bars on the rear of the car, and radical negative camber on the nose of the car.
Drivers of cars set up this way will tend to be more violent, and tend to left foot brake more often, in order to upset the car and cause oversteer where they need it.
So it's easier for some of us, and cheaper, to just put the heavy springs on the rear to start with. :-)
There's lots of different ways to design a suspension to that a FWD-bias car will still oversteer when you need it. It can take years of experimenting, but you can do it a lot of different ways.
Find an H1 champion on the East Coast and put him across from an H1 champion on the West Coast, and watch the suspension argument develop.
The Californians were influenced from the beginning of their endeavors by their close contact with Spoon's Ichishima and the N1 efforts of both Spoon and Mugen, together with the influence of the big parts importers like Opak (and before Opak, those guys in British Columbia who I'm embarrassed to say I've forgot their names at the moment).
The East Coast guys were just starting out, and invented the series themselves with no big money, so they were trying to do it an all-American way, and just made it up as they went along. And one of the things they decided was to put the big springs on the rear to increase the natural rotation by allowing for the weight transfer to hit the front tyres.

A favorite of street DC2 drivers was to have 400# springs in the front and 500# in the rear, a relatively mild difference.

I knew you'd chime in, George, and thanks for the thorough explanation. It would take experimentation to figure out which spring rate is best for this (heavy) FWD car. You can order whatever spring rate you want from the BC folks.
I worry about the car "naturally rotating" when the eSH-AWD system already does that to some extent. Again, lots of experimentation with spring rates needed to figure this out properly.
