Grinding noise from rear new brakes and rotors hasn’t resolved
So I just purchased my 14 RLX and I noticed there was a grinding noise/vibration coming from the rear passenger wheel. I assumed it was brakes/rotors related so I just got them done and the noise still persists. It happens at lower speeds usually when starting from a green light or parking. It’s like a scraping noise almost as if the caliper is too close to the rotor and interfering. It’s annoying not too loud but it’s there and I’m nervous it’s going to accelerate the wear on my breaks and rotors I just paid to have done. Anybody have any idea what it could be? Maybe a bearing of some kind?

May be a wheel bearing, but that seems to be a little too soon for that given the year. Or a Frozen caliper, but the mechanic should have caught that. Did you tell them it was making a noise? Make sure any dust shields are not bent, or even check ebrake adjustments. I am not familiar with this car so these are just hair brain ideas of what could cause the noise you describe.

YES. Just read into it and there’s actually a bulletin straight from Acura explaining that the actuator isn’t properly lubricated from factory and they would need replacing. Looks like a $1600 part for each side Calling nearest Acura dealer to haggle with them and see what they can do. Hopefully they still honor this 5 year old bulletin
