I have 3 remotes and one is a remote start. Does it come standard or someone bought it and added to it? It has a acura symbol on the back.

It is not a standard on the 2015 RLX Advance, it an option that you can add. But I do believe it comes with the 2016 RLX Advance as a standard feature.

 

It looks like Acura finally listened and have added it as standard with the 2016 Advanced trim.

Good to see that change.

 

The way that the Acura remote start system for 2014 model year was described to me, it sounded kind of clunky and perhaps previous generation.

I've never missed it, but I think about it sometimes. Maybe I don't *know* what I'm missing.

^ that's what I understood as well, it's definitely not like the integrated remote start that's on the TLX, etc. Hence why I stayed away from it, that and the fact that I refused to pay for it when it should have come included.
