Can someone tell me where the switches for the heat/ventilation of the front seats are located? I saw a photo and it looked like the passenger switch was on the drivers side?
Toward the bottom of the centre stack. When you see them you'll understand. :-)

I just got offered a great year-end deal of 49.9 Adv, and will probably go out looking at colors this weekend...

Wow! That's a price that defies economics!

You know, after spending nearly a week in this thing and having already put a few hundred miles on it, including some laps after the rear steering kit was installed....

I think I might just keep this as the logical best thing to have and I'm not that aggressive with pursuing the hybrid any longer.

The switches for both driver and passenger on fwd of the shifter just above the smaller storage compartment. Jump on the 49.9 for Adv. I paid way north of that last Aug.

Thanks everyone for the info on the seat climate control switches...Now that I know where to look, the photo I saw makes more sense. The photo must have been taken from an odd angle.

Glad to here you are enjoying your new ride...Did you get any accessories like mud flaps or anything? I have yet to see any pictures of them installed on the RLX. I think they would look great..just as they do on my 07 TL.

Here in Calif., I have no need for AWD, so the FWD is perfect for me.

Sure wish it didn't get so hot here in the summer; it kinda limits my choices of colors for the RLX because out here anything black is just plain brutal!

I don't have an RL but you never know.....
The previous model was among the worst selling cars in Canada.
The Toronto Star did a writeup last year about the 10 worst selling vehicles. I think the RL sold something like 30 cars in Ontario in one year (2011 or 2012) the biggest car market in the country. 30
three zero. It will be interesting to see what they do if the current model bombs as well.

I think it's well on the way, with only about 8,000 produced so far.

I don't believe they're even SET UP to sell very many. If the world cried for 15,000/year of them I do not believe they could even be made!

^^^^^

When dealerships have to discount up to $12K in order to move the RLX out; producing 8,000 units is already too many.

When I checked yesterday, Edmunds said there were 48 of them in my neck of the woods waiting to be sold.

It's almost Christmas. That's way too many to have in stock in the DC area.

In a couple of days, that 52.2 that I paid for mine is going to look like too much, and the correspondent's 49.9 will be more like it!

Still loving the car, despite the bad press.

I paid just north of $55K for my Adv and I have no regrets. I got it early in the release so I should expect to pay a bit more than others later on.

With those price drops you guys are going to have to hold on to those RLXs for a long time because of the depreciation hit. Luckily, they should be pretty reliable.

It's really sad things have gotten to this juncture with the RLX. One hopes that the positive press from the Sport Hybrid model gets people to put this car back on their radar screen.

I think the other component of the price drop is the dramatic shift in the yen-dollar value. If I remember right when the RLX was release the Yen was in the mid 70's per dollar. Now it is just over 100 yen per dollar. That is a huge shift and allows Acura to cut the costs without losing as much money. Maybe this will allow the SH-AWD version to be priced more in line with the market.

I hope you're wrong. :-) When I bought my TL, the 4G was selling so slowly that I could even get my 6-6 for 39,000. Selling it with 86,000 miles on it the depreciation wasn't all that bad!

You're probably onto something there.

It probably has something to do with being able to buy the RLX so cheaply and with the drop in the proposed sticker price of the SH-AWD Hybrid.
