anyone have the acuralink subscription? Can it give you real time info about your car like location (I thought i read it on an online manual)? my rlx is being delivered on monday, i thought i could be slick and activate it to track where it is at but I dont see that feature when I try to sign up for the service.

 

It looks to me that the AcuraLink Map function on your iPhone is using where you are with the device, not the car's location.

It never occurred to me that I would want to locate the vehicle like that, although I am sure the police could do it in an emergency.

When you connect to AcuraLink from your computer, it seems to use the computer's location, not the car's.

The application can perform,all kinds of functions. If you can't find the car in a parking lot, it will flash the lights or honk the horn. You can check fuel level and tyre pressure.

You can send a new destination to the car from your iPhone.

But showing you on the map where your car is when you are far away from it, I guess it never occurred to anybody that this would be useful.

 

did you receive your rlx? If so, what are your thoughts/impression of it.

 

Yep, received it on the 20th but went out of town (flying) on the 21st ... so i didnt get a chance to drive it for more than 10 minutes. I bought it without even looking at it in person ... I'm not crazy about it just yet ... maybe that will change once I put some miles on it this week-end.

If you want the extended warranty I suggest the guy in little rock, if I can get my hands on this thing I will get the warranty there.
