I don't think this has been discussed yet.
With route engaged, the upper right of screen shows distance to next turn. It also shows a city. I'm assuming this is the closest city to the turn. However, it shows the next city after the turn.
In below, turn is at Dunnigan, 5 miles away. However, it shows Winters, which is another 15 miles.
Or am I reading this incorrectly and this is the City that I head to after the turn?

I believe, per your picture, it is telling you right turn onto 505 South, heading towards Winters in 5.3 miles.
