Stiff Power Steering

The steering on my 2019 RDX A-Spec suddenly became much stiffer especially when making turns in the past week and I'm not sure what the issue could be. It's been snowing and its been pretty cold where I am but I doubt that would be a cause...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Nope, snow and ice has all melted where I am now and its still hard to steer especially at low speeds and when trying to park.

It's currently at 36 PSI when cold and warms up to 37.

Nope, sport mode is unbearably stiff. I have to drive in comfort mode just to manage. Not sure if recently installing a hardwired dash cam or having my tire patched up from being punctured by a nail are factors, but I also have no warning lights showing in the dash.

if you were in the fuse box, double check you did not Disturb the fuses.

I brought my car back to the shop I had my dash cam installed and they couldn't figure out the issue. Any idea if they had the fuse tapped correctly? This is for the Thinkware Q800 Pro 2CH dash cam.

I would start with removing the tap and just put the fuse back in. Leave cam off. Remove the negative on your battery for a few minutes, reconnect and test drive, just a suggestion.
also, look at the Honda service site or your manual at least and check any fuse that has anything to do with hydraulic, steering, etc. sounds like the hydraulic pressure is low, or rather the fuse to that hydraulic relay, etc.

Why don't you visit the dealership? The car is still in warranty. Power steering unit is well instrumented that if anything goes wrong, it should throw a code to precisely tell the mechanic where the issue is. I think the chance of electronics failure in the EPS without code is unlikely, but you did not mention any warning message, so something does not sound right. Could it be a mechanical issue? Well, I would argue if it is, you should experience more issues in addition to heavy steering. Again, I would urge you to visit the dealership. After all, if EPS suddenly fails without any code when you are going into a corner, you are doomed. Don't take chance with your own safety!

From the 2019 Owner's Manual, page 619 - It appears the tap is in the location for the VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) circuit.
