Snow Mode Issue
Snow Mode Issue
I sometimes use Snow Mode in bumper to bumper traffic as it starts my 2019 RDX off in 2nd gear, making it slower off the line as you are creeping forward and it also saves a little gas. Used it the other day, but forgot I was in Snow Mode after the traffic let up. I brought it up to normal speed (70 mph) on the interstate. I gave it some more gas to pass a car and all of a sudden it bogged down and the engine light came on. Limped into a gas station on limited power, checked my oil (which was fine), let it sit for a while and all was well after about 10-15 minutes. Scary cause I was 300 miles from home at the time. I can find no mention of this issue on the forum and in my manual. Are there some precautions when using Snow Mode that I should know about, like driving at highway speed? Obviously, I will try not to ever go too fast in that mode again but was interested if others have had this issue and if there are limits to what you can or should do in Snow Mode. Thanks!
It might be more likely related to this and not snow mode in particular.

Thanks! Didn't realize there is a "Limp Mode". The link you shared had dozens of owners having the same issue and Acura not doing much about it. Let's hope that they eventually come up with a fix to this dangerous problem.
