Rear Seat release broke
Rear Seat release broke
I have a '20 Tech for about 4 months with no issues. However the other day, when I tried to fold down the right back seat with the lever in the trunk, I heard a snap and the lever no longer had tension and wouldn't release the seat. The other release lever next to the back seat still works. Not a big issue but I took it to the dealer on Monday to fix. I assumed a simple job of replacing the cable or the attachment to the level. Well 2 hours later the Service Rep comes to me and said that I will have to bring it back so they could work on it some more. They didn't have any loaners for me. He said it appears they will need to take apart the rear seat since it appears the cable broke inside of it and it will take at least 2 1/2 hours to complete. He will call me when they have a loaner.
Well as of today they still don't have a loaner for me. Has anyone else had this broken cable issue? Do you think I should just go to another dealership to get it fixed or am I stuck with them since the started it?

No complaining about the loaner, it’s not like you bought a Lexus or Mercedes or something.
But seriously, that’s bush league. The least they could do is pull a used car off their lot to use as a loaner or put you in a rental (I’ve had other automakers’ dealerships do they for me). Sadly, I’ve had the same experience as you with my local Acura dealerships.
