Rdx lkas system

Today/Tonight I realized my LKAS system isn’t working at all on roads i’ve always used it on. The only way it’ll work not is if i turn it off and on, and switch lanes?

Not sure if I should bring to the dealership, i hope not. Car has only 1k miles and already had to get the trunk fixed, brakes checked, now LKAS.

Were you traveling at least 45 mph? LKAS doesn't work under 45 mph.

Have you bothered to open/download and read the manual for your vehicle? It explains how everything works. Try that before running to the dealer complaining and wasting your time.

Since you seem certain you have a problem, I'm not sure if you posted just to complain, or if you are looking for assistance in trouble shooting.

If you want some assistance, then you should provide more information regarding what indicators you see on the dash, and how the system behaves.

That was probably the Road Departure Mitigation system (RDM) that you experienced when the LKAS system had been turned off. It was doing what it was suppose to do, assuming you had RDM turned on using the button above the drivers left knee.

Do you know that LKAS is not turned on automatically, you must turn it on using the push-button on the steering wheel. Do you know that LKAS only works at speeds between 45 and 90 MPH. Do you know that it only works when you can see the white lines on the road?

Do you see the "outline" of dotted lines on the mid when you turn on the system? Do these "outlines" fill in to solid white when the lines on the road become visible.

Do you feel that LKAS works on straight roads, and you are concerned that it doesn't follow roads with curves, if so, that is typically how the system works.

Could be as simple as a dirty windshield in front of the camera, sun glare or the roads are covered with something
