High pitched squeal from front of car

I had my new base model 2019 RDX for a couple of days and noticed a very loud squeaking noise coming from the front of the car. I was on the phone with someone and the person I was talking to asked me what that noise was? It sounds like air being let slowly out of a balloon and lasts 1-3 seconds. I can’t duplicate the issue but it usually happens after the car comes to a stop and before accelerating or just as I start to hit the gas (like pulling away from red light).

I brought the car back to the dealer and he told me it was the break shims but that didn’t fix anything. I got a technician to ride with me and fortunately the car made the noise for him. They've had the car since for four days now and they tell me they talked to Acura and the problem has something to do with an electronic vent in the air conditioning. They need a part to fix it so by the time they get the part and test it, I’m out another 2-3 days (by that time, they’ll have had the car for a week). The dealer said that Acura technical support has gotten similar reports from 3 other owners since the new model went on sale.

Has anyone else on this board observed this problem? I’ll post the ultimate resolution in case it happens to others in the future.

UPDATE - So I picked up my RDX today. The official fix was to replace the air conditioning expansion valve, evacuate for 90 minutes to clean lines and recharge system with R-1234YF freon. Drive home was uneventful. Hopefully that does fix the problem.

I am having issues with the cooling in mine as it just never seems to get cold, so I will mention this to them as a possible fix as I have never listened for that noise but will later.
