A few annoying problems with the 3G RDX
Hi everyone,
I have a 2019 RDX (from Canada) as of March. Overall the car is good and I like it but there are a few issues that are really annoying but the dealership is either unable or unwilling to fix them. I'm wondering if anyone came across the following problems:
- Brake squeaking (already addressed)
- Driver seat squeaking while adjusting seat position or when the seat moves backward automatically when you leave the car. This usually happens when the weather is cold. (There seems to be another thread about this, but when i watched the video it doesn't appear to be same issue
- static sound coming out of the speakers. This does not happen all the time but when it does, it only happens when the car is in motion
- Instrument brightness control buttons doesn't always work. When it doesn't work, pressing on the increase/decrease button does nothing. There's no response from the car.
Any input is appreciated!

are you attempting to adjust the brightness in broad daylight? my CTR seems to have a safety feature where bright sunlight forces the gauge cluster to max brightness. Haven't had a chance to try that on the RDX yet but when I do, i'll report back
You brought up a good point. That could be it. It usually doesn't work during the daytime. If there's such a safety feature then maybe it is working as intended.
The brightness question can be answered by downloading the free Owners Manual from Acura’s website. As for the other issues the car is under warranty so a dealer visit is necessary. Make them fix it.
