Fan squeals on engine shut off.
Took my RDX ASPEC in to the dealer for an oil change. They said they checked my air filters as well. Idk if you’ve checked them yourself but that cheap rubber and plastic they use for the inlet is a joke.
anyways... now that I have the car back, when I’m in my garage and turn off the engine, you can hear what sounds like a fan bearing squealing/squeaking. Anyone else have this? Wondering if the dealership induced a problem so I’ll come back with my wallet.

It sounds like you may have a whistling AC expansion valve. There is a service bulletin (TSB 19-014 - Whistling from Center Dash Area), that I would show to the dealership.
You can find a link to the Acura TSB, along with all of the other TSB's here: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...letins-970256/
Your profile did not say if you have a 2019 or 2020 RDX, but all 2019's and some 2020 RDX's are potentially affected. (I say potentially, as I have not heard it in my 2019, but it doesn't mean it won't be a problem in the future.)
The expansion valve is located on the engine side of the firewall. I doubt the dealership did anything to make you come back, and unless you rack up the miles the vehicle should still under warranty. In that case, Acura/American Honda will be footing the bill.
Hope this helps.

I have 2019 Acura RDX with what sounds like the exact same issue as you described. Did you find out what the issue was with your car and how was it resolved? When turning off engine in my garage I can hear this noise. Took car to dealership but they couldn't replicate sound. I recorded sound as they suggested and took the car back couple weeks later. They hear the sound on video but again couldn't hear it at the service dept. I think because too much back round noise at the service center. It was mentioned that it COULD BE the turbo bearing but this was not a definitive diagnosis. I am to take the car back if the sound worsens. However, with little research on my part this is an expensive repair. Shouldn't they be able to check the turbo bearing to confirm or rule out this being the cause of engine noise? I am reading if left undetected it can affect the entire engine. I have1 year left on my warranty. I think the dealership should be looking into this further to prevent extensive damage to the engine if it is the turbo bearing. Anyone else having issues with outside of car noise when shutting off engine? Thanks for your time!

I have this problem
I have this issue. It was - and is - the passenger side radiator fan. I’ve had it replaced twice now. The issue returns after a few months. I too got the ‘could not duplicate’ response but had a nice little video of the fans slowing to a stop after engine shutdown. Clear as day what the problem is. Easy enough to reach in carefully and move the fan blades with your finger. You’ll hear the squeaking bearings in the fan. I can’t say if yours is left or right fan. Mine is passenger side. However I’d bet a buck it is one of your fans. Be mindful reaching In a hot engine compartment runs the risk of the fans suddenly powering up with your fingers down there so be careful. I’m awaiting the call for the part arrival for my third fan replacement.
