Alarm and lights going on by themselves
Alarm and lights going on by themselves
Have a 2019 rdx with 35k. I am wondering if anyone has had any of the following issues and if you found root issue. 3 months ago woke up to car alarm going off. Could not enter car with fob had to use the key. Pushing ignition all the dials moved up and down got issue warning about fob and to see dealer. This continued for two nights we finally had to disconnect the battery. Dealer said all codes were wiped can’t really help you. Finally they saw issue first hand and said bad cell in battery and gave us a new one. No issues for 3 months. New Years night same thing woke up to car alarm going off. Could not get into car with fob. Saw three different issues on screen. Fob issue. Braking system issue. Auto idle issue. Car sometimes would start sometimes not. Put it in garage to take to dealer. Alarm goes off again and again. Last time no alarm however after exiting car in 10 seconds lights came on all dials in car started moving we could even hear seats adjusting themselves. Again had to disconnect the battery to be able to turn it on to go to dealer. Clicking sounds under hood and we thought we saw some quick strobing of headlights. This is very frustrating. Also 4 weeks ago got a warning on the awd and you could feel cars power really diminish. They replaced the celanoid?? Wondering if anyone has experienced any of above and what you learned. Have videos of all of above. Thanks so much.
Take it back and have them check the Alarm Security History. It will store the last three triggers even if the battery is drained but it sounds like a Body Control Module to me, probably backordered too.
If there is nothing stored, I've seen key fobs that were setting the panic button on it's own but that's usually caused by liquid in the fob itself.

Dealer replaced the body control module
Thanks for your reply. The dealer had my car from January until May waiting for the back ordered part. I also was in touch with Acura/Honda corporate. I have not had any issues since however given my car sat outside and was not driven for such a long time the rotors warped and they replace those at no charge. This is a known issue. I hope you get your car back soon.

Just having the exact same issue on my 5.5 year old Acura RDX 2019. First the battery drained, then I replaced the battery 2 days ago and now this afternoon it automatically started the above behavior.
Sending the car to the dealer soon, wondering what was outcome? @Salvacathy / @Jimboat / @imacoolmom ?

I'm currently dealing with a similar issue in my 2018 TLX and have recently started a thread also: "2018 TLX Spontaneously Alarming (only 44,050 miles). I've watched every YouTube troubleshooting tutorial available and have replaced the key FOB batteries, Hood Lock Latch Actuator Assembly (OEM 74120-TZ3-A12) and the Sub Relay Keyless Entry Control Module (OEM 38330-TZ3-A010-M1) which was the source of the clicking noises. No issues for 4 days and then at 2am this morning the visual/audible alarm activated. I shut the alarm off with the remote. 30 minutes later another alarm so I disconnected the battery and went to bed. In total, this is the 3rd time I've had this problem in the last two weeks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!"
Today, I had my battery checked and it was fine. I recommend you watch these two videos:

. I'm currently considering removal of my Control Unit (OEM38320-TZ7-A31) to look for imperfections and repair. This debacle is very frustrating, especially since the dealer just put a new engine in my car because of 2 failed main bearings (thank God the engine was replaced under warranty).
