Acura service bulletin 19-053 (brake noise)
Rev 6 of the TSB (see Front and/or Rear Brakes Squeal When Applied at Low Speeds) covers brake noise seems to present remedies for 2019 and 2020 RDX's. I have a 2022 RDX Base SH-AWD that makes the noise. Does anyone know if there is a later TSB that covers the 2022?
A rev 7 came out about 10 days ago and it addresses MY2022. The work was done on my 22 and the noise seems to have disappeared. Having said that, my 2022 was delivered in March and didn’t make the noise initially. The noise is associated with lower temps (< 50 deg F) so we shall wait and see.
We had noise ever since we got our 2022 and the dealer said it is normal and all RDXs do that so we ignored it. Now with TSB we will get free pad replacements under warranty, luck us as our pads are probably due for a replacement soon anyways. I'm waiting for the next oil change, no rush.

But they sure can upsell!
I want soo much to say something but I keep my mouth shut becuase I want to maintain the relationship I have with them, although it is rarely used as I “DIY”.
While waiting for my 22 RDX a service advisor came out and had a discussion with a person near me. They were in for a state inspection. They got talked into an oil & filter change an tire rotation. OK, perhaps needed; but they also talked the individual into an additive to the oil that would “clean” the engine @ $132.95. Ridiculous! In the Acura manual it is very specific about not using additives and it likely was a 12 ounce bottle of some garbage that cost the dealer less than $10.

dealers selling additives for oil and gas. That goes against everything in terms of ethics for authorized Acura dealer. They should be reported to Acura corporate. If I go back to days of my Acura 2001 CL, there were no such reports about Acura dealers, now its normal ☹️
thats low class tactics that you would see in slimy repair shops, apparently Acura dealers are picking up the same tactics

I heard something similar when I was in for a service a couple of years ago. The lady next to me had come to pick up her car and the adviser was going over what had been done on her car. They had changed the oil and filter using premium synthetic oil plus an "oil conditioner" and a "crankcase cleaner".
