Advanced package looks ..
Advanced package looks ..
I have a pearl black 20' RDX. I went with the advanced package for the HUD and a few other features.
However. I really like the Aspec black chrome trim. I was debating what the hassle/cost might be to swap all the chrome trim to the Aspec black chrome. IMO, it would look allot nicer on my pearl black RDX. I'd most likely order it, and have a body shop I trust make the swaps. Has anyone went ahead and had this done?
I'm having the black Acura rims installed also .. debating on the Aspec 20's or the optional black 19"s. Does anyone know if when I swap to another Acura rim, it would be covered in the rim ding coverage? I bought the service package for nicks/dings/etc that covers rims also? The dealer has no idea, i've asked a few service advisors now. I'm sort of going with getting them swapped and they will never know I didn't buy them at day 1 with the car.

There is already a post on the A-Spec trim swap... rather extensive to do on the front bumper and the rear quarter panel glass has to be removed and replaced. Most people just do vinyl wrap for the window trim.

I'm with you on the looks of the Advance (aka Canadian Platinum Elite).
If it wasn't a lease, I'd have negotiated to have the dealer replace all of the chrome bits with A-spec parts before I even got the vehicle. But, since it is a lease, I decided to embrace the chrome, and I think these Enkei 20" wheels will really bring the whole look together 100x better than the awful looking wheels that come with the top spec:

I arranged for the dealer to deliver the car with snow tires on the stock wheels, and I'm going to drive straight to the wheel shop when I get the car. I'm going to get Michelin Pilot Sport AS3s put on too. That's 8 lbs of weight savings per tire/wheel, and a huge improvement in looks IMO.
I think the RDX would sell a lot more if you could get both packages together. I would have bought the car months earlier if that was an option.
