"A" Parts
"A" Parts
When looking for accessories, mainly the cargo protector panels, I keep coming across the letter "A" added to the end of the part number. For example, 08P42-TJB-200 shows as 08P42-TJB-200A on many websites. Is this an actual difference? Or just to illustrate it is being sold aftermarket?
Also, if anyone has a seat cover recommendation that is compatible with the cargo protectors, that would be helpful...the Acura backseat cover is not.
Thank you for your time.

The A designation is a version of that item that only fits a specific model.
The 200A might fit the A-Spec models while the 200 fits non-A-Spec.
For example, the illuminated door sills for my 2021 Advance are 08E12-TJB-210.
The illuminated door sills for the 2021 A-Spec are 08E12-TJB-210A.
The A does NOT necessarily specify A-Spec though. And there are sometimes B and C variations as well.
You'll also have superseded numbers or running changes. So a 210 might change to a 220, 211, or 305.
A 300 number at the end is usually a kit of some kind that includes more parts than the original.
Part number breakdown is something like this (strictly from memory as I've been out of the game for 11+ years now.
08 = Accessories
Next three digits = Type of part
TJB = Model of car, RDX in this case
210 = Variation of that part
It's much more complex than that but that gives you an idea.
