Install rear camera washer

Has anyone installed rear camera washer on any of the trims (obviously except Advance/platinum Elite), and if yes, for how much?
It's a very neat feature to have I think at least A-spec should have had it too.

If someone with an Advanced or Platinum Elite PMs me their VIN #, I can look up the price of all components needed in Honda's service portal. I only have an A-Spec, so the option doesn't even show up.

IIRC it has been done and reported on this forum, over a year ago.

It requires purchase of the rear camera assembly for Advance trim, because the nozzle is integrated into the plastic housing for the camera. Otherwise, just minor plumbing. It activates along with the rear window washer.

Here's the thread. Dunno if the OP followed through, but you could PM him and ask.

Minor correction: the plastic washer nozzle clips into a mount on the Advance camera housing.

FWIW, I have an Advance but most of the time I forget about the washer and use a spit-moistened thumb, as on my other crossovers. YMMV

I normally forget about it too, but I just discovered that it’s most valuable when it’s raining and you want to back up, but can’t see anything with the camera because rain drops have distorted the view. One quick squirt from the washer and the camera view is crystal clear. In my opinion it’s the best use for the washer.

I’ve owned Honda products off and on for years. The way Honda offers options has always pissed me off. The backup camera is a fantastic addition to enhance safety, but as pointed out, becomes unusable in the rain and when it becomes dirty. Yet, Honda deems keeping the camera clean only for those purchasing the highest level trim.
