Smile Screen dimming

Just wondering if anyone has experienced their screen going into night mode at exactly the same location? On my drive home every time I go past this particular spot, the screen goes into the night display. Not really a problem, but just curious if anyone else has a phantom place that changes the screen mode.

The normal questions would be: What time of day? Is the sun out? Are you entering a brief place where there is shade? ..perhaps from a building or an overpass?

Yes, it's bright sunshinny day, no tree, no shade. Various times if the day. Always exactly the same place. The only thing right at that location is a cable internet box and an electrical power box. All underground utilities in this neighborhood. Several of these boxes throughout the neighborhood. As I come up to the location, I watch and sure enough it goes into night mode and stays there until I get home and in the garage. Going the other way at the same location, there is no change, and it remains in the day mode.

Looks like you found a worm-hole into another time-space dimension.

Is your car equiped with navigation? My guess is that there is a map error at that location and it has a tunnel (or long underpass) defined there. If you want to post the location I can check the HERE map data.

There's nothing that looks suspicious in the map data in the HERE map editor. That tool only allows you to see the current version of their mapping data so there's no way to know if there's something weird in an older version.
