Hello has anyone updated yet? what changed if anything did?

 

what update? I checked yesterday and 1.6.3 is still the latest for me

 

My 2019 says the same, that 1.6.3 is the most recent update. I did see a post elsewhere saying that's a 1.6.4 being rolled out, but that could be for the TLX.

 

Got mine done yesterday over hotspot.

What year is yours?

 

His signature says 2022, so you can discard it as it does not apply to older gen 2019-2021 infotainment

I have a 2019 and can confirm that no its not in the update (full screen carplay)

Yes in Canada but i don’t remember what the numbers of the firmware version was … is there a way to check?

 

Somewhere in System Settings, there should be "About" option, it will show current software version.

I did not see release notes from 1.6.4, so not sure what it is, perhaps it addresses bug fixes

I saw on Facebook it addresses USB device connectivity, I am hoping it will resolve my issue with CarPlay not working when car is put in reverse before system boots.
In US, we don't have this version yet, but I guess its coming ....

Had the update this morning on my 2019. Just bug fixes. Here is the list of changes:

• Issue where phone calls cannot be ended using the audio unit
• Issue where the audio unit may become unresponsive when connecting a phone with a large media library
• A condition where USB devices may not connect if reverse is selected before the audio unit has completed booting

Sadly no full screen CarPlay/AA, nor did they fix the 'Android Auto' now playing bug on the right third of the screen when using AA.

if this works, I will be very happy!

 

Based on a sample of 2 starts, I think it does now. I installed the update this morning and then had to run an errand. I started the car and quickly plugged in the phone and Android Auto started right up going and coming.

 

same here, so far no issues connecting even when reverse is engaged before full boot, but want to observe a bit more as sometimes it worked even prior to 1.6.4.
I wonder if it also fixes occasional car play disconnects and re-connects that happen once in a while.
It took Acura 4 years to fix this bug?

 

I had long since given up any hope Acura was ever going to fix it.

 

would not surprise me if Honda was not even aware of this issue for a very long time due to bad dealership service practices. Few years back, I reported this issue to the dealer, and they brushed it off and said its normal and that I should wait for system to boot before putting car in reverse. They did not want to report it to Acura. So very possible problem got reported to Acura very late.

 

With more usage, 1.6.4 does appear to
bring stability and have not had any car play connection issues. Acura finally came through, 4 years later….
